BRITISH 1930'S MINIATURE ARMY OFFICERS SWORD BY WILKINSON OF SUPERB QUALITY.

This is a very unusual large size miniature British army officers sword which measures 21 inches long. Silver plated basket hilt. Wire bound black painted grip. The superb blade is by Wilkinson and displays there full makers trade mark, the blade is also double etched in the military style with long foliage panels featuring the George the 6th Royal cypher, Royal coat of arms and Kings crown, the etching is actually higher quality than normally found on the full size sword, there is some slight wear to the plating of the lower part of the blade at the cutting edge. I believe the sword was produced as a sales mans sample or perhaps as a special order item, it would actually be the perfect size for cutting a wedding cake at a military wedding, the quality is probably to high for a child's sword especially with the etched decoration.
