VICTIORIAN SCOTTISH HIGHLAND DARK.

A superb large antique dirk, not silver marked but almost certainly Scottish silver (many Scottish silver items are not hallmarked). Black carved bogwood handle in a celtic design mounted with small decretive silver pins with large silver cap to the pommel of the dirk. Long impressive bade is marked Inverness but the makers name is rather faint now, the blade shows some slight age staining but could be cleaned if required. Matching black leather scabbard complete with three silver metal mounts which are engraved with a thistle design. Complete with matching knife and fork set each of which have silver tops that match the dirk pommel top. Size 16 inches or 41cm long. A very impressive dirk, Exc++
