WW2 JAPANESE OFFICERS KATANA SWORD.

Simple iron pommel and suba. The grip has a leather covering in the jungle style, it is probably cloth bound underneath but it is imposable to see as the leather covering is very tight, but quite visible are the impression of the grip manuka under the leather. The blade is still very bright with a few age marks and some scratch marks to the cutting edge of the blade but they are light and they could be removed. Brown painted steel scabbard is in excellent condition. Complete with cord type knot attached to the pommel. I have not taken the sword apart to see if it is signed, i wll leave that to the next owner. Exc++
