THIRD REICH POLICE BAYONET WITH MATCHING ISSUE NUMBERS.

Fine quality stag horn grip complete with Third Reich police eagle and swastika. Fine detail to the eagle head hilt, this is the solid eagle head model. The reverse crossguard is police issue stamped 553. The blade is in excellent condition and it is stamped with makers details, Luneschloss Solingen. Black leather scabbard for the city police is in excellent condition and it is fitted with matching metal fittings, the revers side of the upper fitting is stamped with an early issued number that has been crossed out and new number 553 applied when the bayonet was re-issued, the number matches the hilt number.
