A superb quality spelter bronze figure of FREDERICK THE GREAT The King of Prussia. The figure depicts Frederick on horseback wearing full military uniform with sword. Frederick the Great was born in 1712, he succeeded his father as King in 1742 and had a long successful reign, he was especially interested in music and philosophy but it is his various successful military campaigns that he is remembered for, he died in 1786.
