SA GROUND ROHM HONOUR DAGGER BY DICK.

All early nickel silver hilt fittings, the lower crossguard is group marked Wm for the SA Westmark Group. Superb quality wooden grip complete with SA insignia and silver eagle, the grip has a very attractive tiger strip affect to the wood. The blade is in excellent condition still retaining much cross grain, the obverse side features the SA motto which still retains much of the factory frosted finish, the reverse side has been heavily ground to remove the offending Rohm inscription as ordered in July 1934 after execution of Rohm, the grinding process has also removed the tip of the makers trade mark but the company name Dick can still be clearly seen, Dick is a rare maker for Rohm daggers but they are a confirmed maker of these rare honour daggers. Brown anodised scabbard showing age wear but still retaining some of the original finish, it is fitted with matching nickel silver fittings. Exc++
