GERMAN GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS DAGGER BY ALCOSO COMPLETE WITH SILVER KNOT.

A beautiful looking dagger in fine condition. Excellent detail to the eagles head hilt which still retains almost all silver plating. The eagle crossguard is very nice quality with excellent detail to the swastika and better than most. The mother of pearl grip plates are in perfect condition. The blade is in near mint condition and it displays the Alcoso Solingen trade mark, there are three versions of the Alcoso TM found on Alcoso GO daggers and this is the 2nd type, similar to the first type but the Alcoso name is in script over the scales rather than in block letters. The matching Alcoso pattern scabbard is also in exceptional condition retaining all original silver plating. Complete with silver porteppe knot which i obtained with the dagger, the cord is the very thin type often associated with GO knots but the acorn and stem is slightly larger than some but it is still a lot smaller than the standard army type so it is not the official ultra small GO type knot but it looks really nice on the dagger and I am not valuing it at the cost of the extra small type. A superb and very attractive dagger. I have a set of GO straps on the site, they did not come with the dagger but they would be a perfect match. Exc++
