GERMAN THIRD REICH POSTSCHUTZ BAYONET AND FROG.

This is a rare bayonet for the German postal protection service, the bayonet is actually considerably harder to find than the leaders dagger. German long model parade bayonet, the hilt retains amost 100% silver plating and the grip plates are in mint condition. The mint blade is by Paul Wayersberg Solingen and this was the only producer of the postal bayonet and dagger, the obverse side is stamped, 85 DRP. which is the bayonet issue number and the abbreviation for for the Postschutze organisation title. The scabbard retains almost 100% of the black finish. Complete with black leather frog, which is the rare special model with metal backing and which is stamped, DRP for German Reich Patent. A very difficult bayonet to find especially in nice condition and with the rare frog. If you have the postal dagger this is a must have bayonet to complete the set. Almost mint condition.
