The black celluloid grip is in fine condition and it is inset with an enamel HJ swastika badge which is in mint condition. The hilt still retains much original silver finish with just slight wear from of the rubbing of the leather strap over many years. The blade is in excellent condition, the reverse side is marked RZM M7/72 which is the makers code for Karl Rob Solingen and it is also dated 1939, The scabbard retains at least 95% original black paint and it is complete with black belt loop and leather retaining strap.
