IMPERIAL GERMAN S85/98 MODEL BAYONET WITH SAW BACK BLADE AND LEATHER FROG.

The bright steel hilt is in fine condition and the riffle slot is in good working order. The brown wooden grip plates are in perfect condition. Impressive saw back blade is in very nice condition and appears to be plated rather than polished and it is maker marked, GEBR HELLER MARIENTHAL. The blued scabbard is in excellent condition and it is complete with imperial German leather frog hanger. There is no waffen amp marks to this bayonet so it is probably private purchase. Exc++
