CASED ANTIQUE PEPERBOX PISTOL,NAMED TO THE ORIGINAL OWNER.
This is an mid Victorian six shot Coopers patent percussion pistol, circa 1855. Blued six shot rotating barrel with British proof marks. Steel ring trigger with nickel silver body which is engraved with makers details, J.R.Coopers patent with ornate foliage decoration. Wooden grip with nickel silver back strap which is engraved with the original owners details in ornate script, Thomas Buckley Woodenbox 1855 (probably a pub). The pistol still has a good working action. Complete with original wooden pistol box with red velvet lining, the box is fitted for various fittings, small powder flask, bullet mould, screwdriver with wooden handle, percussion cap tin and four lead balls, the box is missing the metal key escutcheon.
