THIRD REICH NAVAL OFFICERS DAGGER BY WKC WITH SAILING SHIP BLADE,ORANGE GRIP AND HAMMERED SCABBARD.

Excellent detail to the brass eagle pommel and crossguard which still retain traces of the original gilt finish. The very attractive orange grip is in perfect condition with no chips or cracks, the grip wire might be an old replacement but it looks fine. The blade is by WKC Solingen and it is the scarce pattern that incorporates the sailing ship design in the long foliage decorated panels, the ship design was changed to the anchor and fouled anchor by 1939 or there about's, the blade has some age spotting but this is mainly to the lower part of the blade close to the tip. Complete with matching hammered scabbard, the scabbard oakleaf bands are the early style that WKC used around 1935, latter they changed to wider bands. A nice looking dagger at a bargain price. Exc+
