BRITISH VICTORIAN YETAGAN BAYONET.

This is the model 1856/58 Yetagan sword bayonet. The bayonet does not feature any issue stamps and apparently some of these that are not marked were were used in the American civil war. Iron hilt with chequered composition grip plates. The rifle slot is tight so it might need some oil to release it. Long impressive blade has some old age marks. Leather scabbard is complete with metal fittings. Exc+
