TORQUAY TYPE POTTERY TEA SET OF THE DEVON REGMENT.

Typical Torquay wear which was a very popular style of pottery during the late Victorian and Edwardian period. The set comprises, tea pot, water jug and sugar bowl and each item features the design of the Regimental badge of the Devon Regiment. The tea pot features the badge to the front with floral decoration and DEVON and then to the reverse, ENGLAND EXPECTS. Water jug features the Devon Regiment badge with Devon above and then on the reverse side, FOR KING AND COUNTRY. Sugar bowl features Devon Regiment badge with Devon above and then on the the reverse side, FOR ENGLAND HOME AND BEAUTY. Almost certainly a special order set and so probably unique. Circa 1910. Mint condition.
