BRITISH ERII ARMY OFFICERS SWORD BELONGING TO AN OFFICERS OF THE ROYAL WELCH FUSILIERS BY WILKINSON.

Standard British infantry officers pattern sword from the period of the Reign of queen Elisabeth the 2nd 1952 - 2022, the sword is in mint condition. Fish skin grip and large silver plated basket hilt decorated with floral designs and ERII crowned cypher. Superb mint blade with long floral panels, the obverse side also features the royal coat of arms and the reverse side features the etched Regimental badge of the Royal Welch Fusiliers, the blade also has the full Wilkinson trade mark and the proof mark, the spine of the blade is stamped with the Wilkinson sword owners issue number and so it should be possible to research the original owner as the Wilkinson sword ledgers still exist and give the the details of the person who purchased each sword. Complete with brown leather scabbard and leather sword frog hanger. Superb quality sword for a collector but also ideal for a serving British officer as new British army swords are hugely expensive and cost considerably more than what I am charging for this example. Mint condition.
