Early style brass hilt still retains traces of the original gilt finish. Brass closed wing eagle and swastika has a slightly art deco look to it, the hilt is heavily engraved with oakleaves. The black celluloid grip is in perfect condition. The blade is in near mint condition and it is stamped with the Pack Solingen trade mark of a man (Siegfried) with a hammer and which is a scarce maker for army swords. The scabbard retains 85% original paint just showing light age wear as you would expect. Exc++
