THIRD REICH NAVAL OFFICERS SWORD BY ALCOSO.

Fine quality brass lions head hilt still retains some gilt finish, the clamshell features a large fouled anchor and the reverse locking plate is in good working order. The white celluloid grip is in mint condition and still retains all original grip wire in perfect condition. The long impressive plain blade is also in excellent condition just showing light age as you would expect, the blade is stamped on the reverse side with the Alcoso Solingen trade mark and it is the pattern which was used from 1938 until 1941 so this is defiantly a Third Reich produced naval sword, Alcoso is also a difficult to find maker for a naval sword as most seem to be by WKC, Hollor or Horster. The black leather scabbard is also in fine condition and it is fitted with three matching gilt brass mounts. A very nice and difficult to find Third Reich sword and it is certainly the nicest example I have had to offer for a very long time. Exc++ or better
