GERMAN FIRE SERVICE OFFICERS DAGGER.

This model dagger was worn by fire service officers during the late 1920s and was continued to be issued and worn during the Third Reich period. All silver hilt fittings with excellent detail to the flame ball pommel, the attractive crossguard features a flower design to the central block. Black horn grip is in mint condition. The blade is in near mint condition and it is double etched with fire fighting motifs including a fireman's ladder. Black leather scabbard with matching silver fittings. The dagger is not maker marked but from the style of the fittings and blade etch the maker was WKC Solingen. A very attractive and difficult to find dagger. Near mint.
