CASED NSFK AWARD WITH ORIGINAL CITATION.

Very nice NSFK award for a flying competition in 1939. Large gilt oval medallion featuring the winged man with swastika and with inscription, NSFK RHON SEGEL FLUG WETTBEWERB 23.7 - 6.8 39 NS FLIEGERKORPS. The reverse side has makers details, Brehmer Markncu Kirchen. The awarded is complete with black leatherette box of issue and the blue velvet base is fitted for the award, the interior lid is lined in white silk with gold inscription, Nationalsoziallstisches Fliegerkorps Der Korpsfuher. Lifting the white silk padding in the lid reveals a secret compartment that still retains the original award citation to, Erich Kuhler with matching date to the award 6.8.1939 ( only weeks away from the invasion of Poland) and signed by the Korpsfuher of the NSFK.
