FRENCH CAVALRY TROOPERS SWORD, 19th CANTUARY.

This sword appears to be the French 1882 model but there are other similar earlier models which are almost identical, some of which were also used in the American civil war. Brass three band basket hilt is in excellent condition. Black leather ribbed grip shows some handerling wear. Long impressive blade has some old age spotting. Silver metal scabbard with two carrying rings is in excellent condition. Exc++
