A fine quality example with a good high front. High quality field grey top with dark green centre band and dark blue piping for medical troops. Complete with matching silver eagle, cockade and black leather chin strap which is held in place with two small black buttons. The top of the has as a few age marks but these should brush out. The interior features gold silk lining with celluloid patch with makers details for for the highly regarded hat maker, Clemens Wagner. The sweat band is complete but it shows wear and has a couple of age splits. A very impressive looking hat of parade quality. Exc++
