GERMAN ARMY OFFICERS DAGGER 1935 MODEL, VERY EARLY EAMPLE WITH SOME UNUSUAL FEATURES, POSSIBLY BY PACK.
This is a very early and unusual army dagger which is almost a prototype, it is not maker marked but I believe the maker is probably Pack Solingen. The pommel and crossguard I believe are produced in brass which is something you only ever see on very early production daggers and only by a few makers one being Pack, the fittings have been heavily silver plated, the detail to the eagle is excellent. Superb orange grip is the very early slanted style and it is in fine condition. The plain plated blade is also in fine condition. The scabbard also has several unusual features, the actual shell is flat on the obverse and reverse sides, normally they are slightly rounded, the two suspension rings are considerably lager than normal and the scabbard throat is held in place by pressure with out any screws. Complete with silver knot and deluxe quality straps. A most unusual army dagger set and an important addition to an army dagger collection. EXC++
