ITALIAN FASCIST MVSN DAGGER, 1932 MODEL WITH RARE LEATHER SCABBARD.

This is a most unusual example with a black leather covered scabbard rather than the standard steel scabbard. The Aluminium eagle head hilt is in very good condition with excellent detail to the eagles head. The black celluloid grip plates are in perfect condition and the obverse side is inset with the Fascist insignia. The blade is in near mint condition. The scabbard is very interesting and possibly unique, the original MVSN scabbard has been expertly covered in fine quality black leather, it is firmly in place and cannot be removed with out damaging the leather, only the very top and tip of the original MVSN scabbard can be seen, it is a vey professional and attractive personalisation. Many Italian officials serving in the Italian empire paid to have there daggers personalised and altered by the local population and this is probably good example of that. A very interesting dagger especially if you collect Italian fascist daggers. Exc++
