GERMAN FIRE SERVICE OFFICERS DAGGER.

A difficult dagger to find and this example dates to the 1920's or possibly the early 1930's and could certainly have been worn during the Third Reich. Fine detail to the silver flame ball pommel, attractive simple silver crossguard. The black wire bound grip is in fine condition. The attractive blade is double etched with long floral panels which also includes fire fighters ladders and axes, the blade is stamped with the WKC knights head trade mark. Black leather scabbard is in excellent condition and it is fitted with matching nickel silver mounts which are held in place by a metal staple on the reverse side of each fitting. A very nice example of a scarce dagger. [Condition: Exc++]
