This example still retains much original gilt finish. Fine detail to the eagle and swastika pommel and crossguard. The white celluloid grip is in mint condition. The blade is in near mint condition and it is etched with the dolphin and fouled anchor design, the reverse side is stamped with the 1941 pattern Eichhorn Solingen squirrel trade mark. Lightning bolt scabbard also still retains some original gilt finish with just some slight ripples to the lower area from wear but no unsightly dents. A good impressive example. Exc++
