The silver hilt and scabbard fitting have a light matching age patina as the dagger has not been cleaned for some time. The brown wooden grip is in perfect condition and it is fitted with SA insignia and silver eagle. The upper hilt fitting is engraved with the original owners name, Quante, the lower fitting reverse side is stamped with the SA group mark Ho (Hochland). The blade features the SA motto to the obverse side and the reverse side is etched with the makers name, Undine Solingen with there fish in a sunburst design, there is some slight age spotting to the blade but it is very minor and over all this is still a very nice blade. The scabbard still retains almost 100% original brown paint. I would imagine that the dagger dates to about the 1935 / 36 period just before the introduction of RZM marked blades. It is rare to find a personalized SA dagger and with an unusual owners name it could make an interesting research project. [Condition: Exc++]
