This is the 25mm version of this highly desirable and documented gold party party badge, it is by Deschler but it is not maker marked and it is in mint condition. The enamel badge is in mint condition and all gilt finish remaining to the wreath. The reverse side features safety pin style hook on circular base with air vent hole below and then the original owners stamped NSDAP membership number 86194. The badge was originally awarded to SA Obersturmfuhrer Erwin Frank, he was born in Austria on the13.12.1910, he joined the NSDAP on the 2.9.1928 and served in the Hitler Youth and the SA as an officer based in Linz Austria (which was a city that Adolf Hitler new very well from his youth and he intended to retire there after the war). During the war Frank served as an NCO in Luftgau-Kommando VI Munster/Westfarlen, possibly with a flak crew defending the city. Complete with large research file containing 10 pages of documentation about this interesting SA officer, i am sure much more could be discovered about this officer from careful study of these documents. A really lovely badge with a fascinating documented history which i can highly recommend.[ Condition: Mint]
