This is example is in exceptional condition and it is probably one of the nicest examples of an NPEA dagger that I have owned and it is made even more desirable as it is school stamped. Brown wood grip in in mint condition. The aluminum crossguards and pommel nut are in fine condition, the lower guard is stamped Sch 153 which is the school abbreviation for the Schulpforta NPEA school, this school was the 14th NPEA school to be established and it opened in 1935. The blade features the NPEA motto to the obverse side, the reverse side is marked KARL BURGSMULLER BERLIN, there are a few scratches to the blade from actual wear but over all this is an extremely nice blade and it is complete with it's original felt buffer pad.The scabbard retains almost all the original olive green paint finish just showing light age wear, the condition is really exceptional, the under side of the frog stud has the correct 753 stamped number which is normally seen on Burgsmuller marked examples. An extremely rare NPEA school marked dagger in exceptional condition, original NPEA dagger's have always been rare but over the last few years they have become almost impossible to find. [Condition: Near Mint]
